What's Included in a Gaslec Boiler Service
Every service we carry out follows a thorough inspection and testing process. Here's what you can expect:
Gas meter and supply
We start at the gas meter, carrying out an ECV letby test and checking for gas leaks across the system. We confirm that earth cross bonding is fitted and carry out a visual check of the meter and pipework installation.
Electrical
We check the electrical supply isolation, confirm the boiler is correctly fused and test all controls and their operation.
Boiler inspection
We check the overall condition of the boiler and pipework, then remove the casing to inspect the combustion door seal. If fitted, we empty and check the condensate trap and clean the magnetic filter. We then test flue gas readings, flame picture, gas rate and gas pressures, and confirm the safety lockout device is working correctly.
Service record
Once complete, we provide you with a service record for your files. If you're a landlord, this forms part of your compliance documentation.
Flue check
We check the flue terminal location, inspect the flue for integrity and make sure it is properly supported and secure. We also confirm the flue is sealed with no products of combustion able to enter the building.
